Arktur Ltd is the name of our incoming tour operator and DMC in Kiev, where we have operated since 1994. We have a team of 34 permanent staff based in Kiev in 2 office locations - our dedicated Internet Department and our Tour Operations Office.

Our teams in Kiev handle large numbers of tour group, special interest groups and FITs visiting Kiev and the cities of Ukraine.

We are now the largest incoming tour operator and DMC in Ukraine by both turnover and number of passengers.

Our programmes focus on cultural tours of this historic city - from student parties studying political and cultural history through to business groups, conferences and seminars through to deluxe incentive tours based on the superb range of deluxe hotels now available in the city. Military history tours of Crimea also feature prominently in our list of programmes.

We handle a large volume of series tours on behalf of international tour operators, hundreds of ad hoc special interest tours of every shape and kind including conferences, sports tours (UEFA and FIFA matches), performing arts and tours with every specific interest through to dedicated FIT programmes with allocations in leading hotels of Kiev ... all at great prices!

Arktur has its own local offices in Odessa, Lviv (Lvov), and two offices in Yalta with permanent representation in Sevastopol.

Our office in Yalta operates a large number of shore excursions for leading cruise operators in Yalta, Sevastopol and Odessa.

We are fully licensed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to issue visa support for those countries that do not yet have visa free regimes for Ukraine.

City of Lviv Appeals to Tourists!

Just to let you know i had a wonderful weekend in Lviv. Perfect weather and lots of good food. Its certainly an unspoilt gem of a city.

Two full days was perfect to see all the museums, churches and other sights. I really enjoyed the tour of the local brewery museum !

There were a lot of bars and restaurants in the old town where you could sit outside and watch all the people. There are some lovely cafes to enjoy great coffee and cakes. It was like Krakow or Vienna without the crowds.

Grand Hotel was an excellent choice, centrally located and full of character and history. The room was very quiet which was important to me.

I think Lviv has a lot of potential as a short break destination. I just think there needs to be better and cheaper flight connections from UK. At the moment the fare is very expensive and the journey is long. It took me most of the day to get there with a long delay in Warsaw.

The other problem is general awareness of Lviv in UK. Most people have only heard of Kiev and Odessa. I'm sure it will become popular once the Euro 2012 football tournament has taken place in Ukraine, Lviv is one of the host cities.

Hotels in Dnepropetrovsk - 9 and 10 October - Update!

We have limited availability left in Dnepropetrovsk - Grand Hotel, Goodzone Hotel, Park Hotel, Hotel Kaspi and Hotel Sverdlovsk all now sold out for Ukraine - England match - final World Cup Qualifier - on 10 October. We have accommodation in Hotel Rassvet - good 2-3 star hotel which we have under exclusive contract to ensure a great atmosphere - and in some smaller properties. Hutor Hotel has a number of beautful cottages on the banks of the river in the grounds of a delightful tradionional restaurant (one of the favourite restaurants of the President of Ukraine) - a good option but quite expensive - available now online. We also have a number of rooms in Hotel Dnepropetrovsk for the night of 10 October - some more may become available for 2 nights - more news soon . The hotel has limited availability. Hotel Astoria is also now full. There are other hotels in Dnepropetrovsk but can be of terrible standard ! More updates soon.
