Tour Itinerary in Tallinn

Day 1

Upon arrival in Tallinn, make your way to the hotel to check in for 3 nights (private transfer available at additional cost).
4 star Nordic Hotel Forum.
Check in from 14.00 hrs.

Day 2

After breakfast, our English-speaking tour guide will meet you at reception for an orientation tour of the city on foot. On this tour you will discover all the main highlights, – the Latin Quarter where a Dominican monastery was once situated and you will find the houses of merchant and craftsmen guilds in Pikk Street. You will see the churches of the Holy Ghost, St. Nicolas and St. Olaf and you can admire the medieval architecture. You will also visit Upper Town – the town of nobles and knights.

Day 3

Optional tour to Kadriorg Palace, Peter 1 House & Pirita area OR Rocca al Mara Estonian Open Air Museum

 Kadriorg Palace, Peter 1 House & Pirita – half day excursion.

The House of Peter the Great is the oldest museum in Tallinn, which was opened in 1806 on the orders of Russian emperor Alexander I. Tsar Peter I of Russia acquired the 17th-century building in 1714 and used it as his residence during his visits to Tallinn.  He also acquired the lands surrounding the manor by 1718 and started building Kadriorg Palace, it was named in honour of his wife Catherine I. This Roman Baroque palace is surrounded by a garden of fountains, hedges, and flowerbeds, modelled on Versailles. Pirita is a beautiful and prestigious are just outside of the city centre with a natural beach and a yachting harbour.

Rocca al Mara Open Air Museum – half day excursion.

The Estonian Open Air Museum  recreates the Estonian rural lifestyle and national traditions of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It consists of nearly 80 historic buildings including farmhouses, mills, net sheds, a village school, a chapel and a fire station.

Day 4  

After breakfast at your hotel, check out by 12.00 noon.

Your hotel has just been renovated and offers a very good standard of accommodation. The rooms are spacious and have an en-suite bathroom, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. The hotel has a lobby bar and a restaurant.
